I’ve decided to switch from Tumblr to Wordpress - from now on all posts will be on sparklesense.wordpress.com
I am in the process of transferring all posts there, I hope you will check it out! A peak at what you will find :)
I came across Rachel Parcell’s blog Pink Peonies last week and was immediately in love. The first post I read was her two year anniversary which displayed her wedding photos and I am obsessed with her whole wedding. Click here & here to read the posts on her wedding. Her dress and hair were phenomenal.
Below are a few of my favorite outfit posts. I highly recommend checking out her blog daily for inspiration.
All of her looks below can be seen here
Happy Almost Weekend!
This week’s Wedding Wednesday is how to pop the question to your lady friends!
Here’s how I asked my sister to be my maid of honor. I now have my very own Pippa ;)
I mailed these boxes to my girlfriends to ask them to be my bridesmaids. Thankfully they all said yes!
I was able to ask my cousin and future sister in law in person. Many of the below photos are from my cousin. Thanks, Carol!
The boxes included rock candy, candy lipsticks, gumballs, thank you suckers, light up rings, candy bracelets, roll on glitter (duh), crown clips, nail files & nail polish. The nail polish names varied but were light pink and kept with the wedding theme. I loved OPI’s "Mimosas for Mr. and Mrs."
I am so lucky to call them my best friends and can’t wait for all 9 of them to be by my side on our big day.
Future sister in-law, Tori :) We are going to have fun playing dress up!
These definitely don’t have any calories in them.
I have always loved ballerinas (and wanted to be one when I was younger) so when I came across the Ballerina Project I was in heaven! All photographs in the series are by the photographer Dane Shitagi. Dane is a photographer based in New York City - the series has been crafted over the span of ten years.
Nicole - 14th street (This one is probably my absolute favorite!)
I want to purchase one of these amazing prints but can’t choose which one. So far the above print is in the running. Take a look at some of my other favorites below. I love how they bring ballerinas to everyday life!
Read more about the ballerina project here and purchase your own here.
Helen - South Beach
Rebekah, Lower East Side
Zarina, Maui (next two photos)
Alys, Toronto, TTC Streetcar
Keenan - Williamsburg
Kelsey - Boston
Wishing I was a ballerina more than ever, enjoy the weekend!
Live for today. Enjoy what you’ve been given.
What you get, give. What you learn, teach - Maya Angelou :)
This couple went to the exact spot their wedding photos were taken three years later to celebrate another life changing moment - parenthood!
I love this idea and think it is such a special visual timeline to hold onto forever.
I am also in love with her wedding hair. Check out the bride’s blog here.

popsicles always bring a smile to my face :) especially in the Caribbean heat!
Caitlin McGauley illustration. Love them all!
These would feel quite nice right now in the cold AC on Richard’s campus :) They seem very regal which I just love. Buy from Jcrew here.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
